Seamist

Watergate Bay, Cornwall

Seamist was purposely built for contemporary beach-side holiday lettings.

Tracey was commissioned to create a warm and welcoming holiday home for two to three families. The eight-bedroom property also needed to appeal to a large party of adults. The interiors had to be hard wearing, fully functional but visually beautiful. The owner wanted a large luxurious kitchen for guests to enjoy, a family dining room, a games room, and a TV lounge.

Sympathetic towards the property’s location, Tracey worked with natural tones and bold sea blues to create beautiful, comfortable rooms. Each bedroom was given a unique colour palette which she then applied to the individual en-suites. This pairing of colour palettes between bedroom and en-suite create a sense of space and harmony. Tracey’s design dedication can be seen in the finer details of furnishings.

Tracey carefully selected furnishings for both their design and functionality. The heavy Teak outdoor furniture was sourced for its weight, so it wouldn’t blow away in winter storms.

With an extremely tight timescale to complete the property, prior to the summer season, Tracey worked with the owner to ensure that the project was delivered on time and to budget.

This eight bedroom coastal home is available to book for a family holiday through Beach Retreats.
